We are in a democracy and opinions might vary. If someone had asked me, I would have described her as a scum who is still confused between a Dildo and a Pen and no wonder ends up using them wrongly.
It has been long she should also face the truth. She has got nothing to do with writing. But for her face and pornographic novels, she would have been another South Mumbai housewife.
But if she is so insignificant, then why are we discussing her and why am I wasting my time writing about her?
That question opens up a Pandora’s box.
Why is this Pakistani man of some influence naming her as one of the writers whom he influenced to write against the Indian government on Kashmir naming her?
Shobha De, the independent, fiery, gutsy, and never afraid to speak her mind woman is just a pawn. So much so that this pseudo writer gets briefed on the content for her columns and then has to get her writing checked and edited by her masters.
By his time you must have realised that these pseudo writers, columnists and journalists are propped up by certain groups and marketed by some other agencies. The objective is single, to use them and their writing for executing intellectual terrorism by planting a seed of doubt in your subconscious mind against the state, the government, even your nation.

Every country has its share of them.
These 'Lobbyist' who are nothing but ‘Dalals’ fix anything, contracts, postings, and even ministerial births.
They are a platform to make the buyer and seller meet. Just like Amazon or any other trading portal these fixers are purely transactional. They make the seeker meet the source, for a price.
Now let us assume if some group or country wants to malign India, seed a doubt against the government, its policies, what would they do?
Simple, hire a Lobbyist who in turn will have journalists on his/her roll, from 5,000 for a blog to 5 lac for an editorial. This lobbyist will choose the right mix of Shobhas for the assignment, brief them, and even edit the story before it gets filed.
To ensure that the voices are credible in the eyes of readers, the lobbyists keeps promoting these writes, journalists, activists round the year through seminars, book launches, get together, page 3 parties etc. etc.
Shobha De is just one of the lap dogs, or should I use the world lap bitches?
Every major publication is infested with such paid journalists. Prannoy Roy, Sagrika, Rajdeep, Ravish are the ones who have their cover blown and are now acknowledged terror and Pak sympathisers.
But apart from them, there are so many more who soft peddle anti-government, anti-growth, anti- terror stories. For sure, I know a few of them. These sympathisers work like sleeper cells, leading a normal life, re-tweeting and sharing planted stories to strengthen the cause of their masters.
So don’t blame the granny, Shobha.
Go for her handler, the lobbyist.
